General Intro:
 
The house is in the small village street half way between the shop and the Poolewe Hotel.
Caberfeidh has three bedrooms and provides comfortable accommodation for five people. It is all electric, heated by off-peak storage heaters with the additional option of an open hearth in the sitting room.

What we Provide:
 
We provide pillows, duvets and duvet covers but not other linen, so visitors need to bring their own sheets, pillow cases, and towels.

Note: Electricity is not included and a cheque for the electricity and the cost of any phone calls, is due at the end of the stay.

  Rooms:
 
  Sitting Room:
This is on the ground floor at the front of the house. It is heated by a storage heater and there is also an open hearth for those who like to use it (fireguard provided). Small bags of coal or peat can be bought locally. There is also an electric convection heater available. We have a small collection of books including some about the area and local wildlife.

There is a colour TV, a DVD player and mini audio system (for which people would need to bring their own CDs, tapes or DVDs). There is also a set of both Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. The telephone is in the sitting room.

Bathrooms:
There are two; one on the ground floor with a shower, the other upstairs with a bath. Both have a basin and WC, heated towel rail and shaver point.

 
 

Kitchen:
This is at the back of the house and is big enough to eat in; the table seats a maximum of six people. The traditional ceramic sink has been retained (by popular request!) and there is an electric cooker, electric kettle, fridge / freezer, microwave oven and toaster. A good selection of cooking pots, kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery is provided.

Main Bedroom:
This is on the first floor at the front of the house, it has a 4'6" double divan bed.

Twin Bedroom:
Also on the first floor, it is over the kitchen, has two 3' twin divan beds.

Single bedroom:
There is a 3' divan bed; this room is off the passage between the other two bedrooms.

  Other Information:
  Washing machine and tumble dryer:
There is a small utility area next to the downstairs shower-room with an automatic washing machine and also a row of pegs for coats. The tumble dryer is in the garage for easier access to the outside for venting. There is a washing line in the garden. A steam iron and ironing board are provided.

Arrival & Departures
The house is available from 4.00 pm on the Saturday and departing visitors are asked to leave the house by 10.00 am to allow time to prepare for those arriving next.

Dogs:
We welcome guests’ well disciplined dogs (max. 2) with their own bedding but ask that if you want to bring a dog, please discuss with Caroline first.

Smoking:
We ask that people don’t smoke please in the house or garage at Caberfeidh.

Car Parking:
Convenient parking is available almost opposite the house in the small public parking area. In the interest of safety, please don’t park beside the house, apart from unpacking or packing the car.

Telephone:
A note book is provided in the sitting room to record all calls made and the cost, using the current BT information supplied.
